WORKSHOP : THE POWER OF THE FIRST 5 MINUTES: ARRIVAL GAMES & LESSON STARTERS
The first few minutes of a PE lesson can shape the energy, focus, and engagement for everything that follows. In this practical and interactive session, we will explore how purposeful arrival games and lesson starters can create positive learning environments, maximise activity time, and support smoother transitions into learning. Attendees will leave with a range of simple, adaptable ideas that can be used across different ages and settings to build excitement, routine, and readiness from the moment students arrive.
Takeaway: Participants will leave with ready-to-use arrival game ideas that can be immediately implemented within their own PE lessons.
Gemma Craker is the founder of PE Solutions and a Primary PE specialist, with over 18 years of international teaching and leadership experience across the UK, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
