Mastering Primary PE Summit - 22 Nov, 2025
WORKSHOP : Once Upon a PE Lesson, there was Movement, Language, and Laughter...
Join Rachel on a journey beyond traditional physical education, where movement and language come together through storytelling. In this workshop, you’ll discover how to teach fundamental movement skills alongside language development using engaging, story-based themes.
Takeaway: Practical, ready-to-use games that have been tried and tested in the sportshall.
Rachel is a qualified and experienced Physical Education teacher.
Rachel has also delivered the UK National Curriculum across the whole school and taught IGCSE PE to Year 10 and 11, following the Cambridge Assessment International Education syllabus.
While working in China, she designed early years and junior school PE schemes of learning that aligned Chinese National Curriculum requirements with Western teaching approaches.
Rachel describes her teaching style as student-centred, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, resilience, and reflection:
“When students take ownership of their learning and are allowed to make, and learn from, mistakes, the best learning takes place.”
